coilover mount missing where to get replacement!

Featured Replies

Hi bought a vrs estate has raceland coilovers fitted to rear but stock on front!

I have the front coilovers which was supplied with car but one of them has the mount missing from the top it looks like a cone shape that holds the spring on before the rubber mount that fixes it to the car. I have contacted Raceland themselves but they no longer have them in stock for my year of coilovers pre 2010. So just desperately hunting to sorce one from somewhere.

if it was me i would find a local cnc machine shop and give them the other side piece with a spring a oe top mount and a shock and ask them to make on for you.

alternatively contact the other budget brands like Fk and ask for the front upper spring seat 60mm id from a mk4 golf platform car and use a pair of those. The part is pretty universal from what i can work out from pictures of other brands of coilovers

i found the enquiry form on kw's site quite helpful but i do not know what they would charge http://www.kwsuspensions.co.uk/spare_parts/

hope this helps

I was thinking about using a cnc shop and as I work in a steel stock holders I should be able to provide the steel my only concern is how much it would cost that's why I was trying to find a cheap way round it, think I'll take other side of and get it priced up, thank saunders1982
