Quick update and notes for others....

Really enjoyed the day, the hosts Javelin were good. They set out the rules and 'had a word' with anyone who pushed the rules.

Only 19 cars took part so easy track access and loads of room. Not sure they will do another Monday as the numbers were a bit low.

It rained after lunch and to my amazement I actually enjoyed track time in the rain. Soon dried up and feeling the traction return lap on lap was brilliant.

Wish my car (Octy Mk2 FL) could have traction and stability turned fully off as it was kicking in virtually all the time, dry or wet.

Loved it, next up is Brands in November.

Dam 19 cars! Wish I could have done this one instead of the 25th now :P Stupid site move commitment that didn't actually happen! Grr.

 

I've booked in on the 26th and its sold out! Going to be queues to go out I recon :(

 

Yeah the rain makes it fun, don't have to be going quite so quickly to slide it around a bit

I keep looking on javalin trackday but I've only done coombe with you guys and was a bit worried it would be full of idiots

The Blyton one was well behaved, also the 'marshall' was strict but fair.

 

eg a guy in an M3 was powersliding out of the bends, in a good style, but he was asked to clam down.

Another, Audi A6 with anti-lag, (awesome bang!), was asked not to do that again!

 

Overtaking was done very well, both cars I passed and cars passing me.

 

Given I had an incident with a Ginetta last year at Rockingham I was a little nervous of who would turn up and how it would go.

 

I had a great day, my mate took a Integra Type R (epic revs and immense grip, bear in mind I have a Diesel Octy!)

I think a Briskoda track day should be organised here again. My local circuit as well as Cadwell.
