Sunset glass

Featured Replies

I see that sunset privacy glass is now an option on the octavia and is also available on the fabia.

Can anyone please tell me what this glass actually does and what part of the car this applies to. I am particuarly interested to know whether it has any heat reflectant qualities/heat retention and also whether it makes the car darker inside. Presumably you can see out of it but it makes it harder for anyone to look in.

Thanks

Applys from B piller backwards.... it is slightly darker inside but nothing noticable really.... just takes a time to realise you can wave to people standing by your car as much as you like but they cant cya!!

Annoying these are now options... cause if you have these from factory bet the insurance isn't affected yet if you have it done aftermarket its classed as a mod. Wish i had privicy glass in the rear.
