How much to lower my octavia vrs 2009 LE

Featured Replies

Looking into lowering my octavia vrs limited edition and just wondering how much to lower it by pics would be great

I've just bought a set of H&R Cup -50mm shocks and springs from DPM Performance. Realistically will lower about 30-35mm due to being slightly lower than a standard Octy. H&R and Eibach both really popular for these.

Put it on the deck, will post some pics up of mine which is pretty low on coilovers

We also have this H&R Cup kit on our VRS CR. Lowered the VRS about 20mm but may have settled a bit more as it has been on a while now. Good ride quality and handling is better than standard. Also fitted a white line RARB. Very happy with the setup.

My ride is fine, yes it's hard and you feel every bump but it's what you get used to, drive sensible and it's all good

I was kind of hoping that a 50mm kit would lower a bit more than 20mm? Hoping for 30-35 taking account of the sports springs fitted as standard? Hopefully will settle. I will take before and after measurements.

Sorry but you lower a car too much and it just looks ridiculous - as well as messing up handling and causing premature tyre wear.

I've the Bilstein B12 kit and it's absolutely spot on. Only 10mm lower than VRS suspension but it looks great and seriously improves handling.
