S3 wheels

Could anybody tell me if S3 alloys would fit an octavia vrs estate okay please. Currently running the standard 17" zenith 225/45/17 et54 and the S3 wheels would be 225/40/18 et57. Will they fit says they will be 9.4mm closer to the strut. Would this matter folks? Cheers

I run 18x7.5 S3 wheels with 225/40r18 on my 2007 hatch. No dramas.

ET57 sounds high - I'm sure mine are around ET50 (could be wrong though).

Hi All, I know this is a topic that seems to have been covered a million times but my vRS has become a problem child. It was losing a small amount of coolant and I would get the odd whisp of steam from the back, I diagnosed a leaking EGR Cooler (confirmed with off car pressure test) and a small water pump leak. I replaced both and thought my work here was done. However it now seems to have made losses worse, this time from the reservoir, so yesterday I did a 90 min motorway drive and by the t

Hi all, Currently looking to upgrade from a 2021 fiesta(!) to a used family sized car. Been a long time admirer of Skodas and have looked at the Octavia / Superb, but we’re a very active family and have an allotment, go to the stables and make a lot of trips to rural wales, where the bottom of the fiesta has taken a beating. We’ve waited until moving from the city to the countryside to trade up. Current set up is 2 6ft adults, 2.5 year old and a medium sized dog. We are not tidy people and

Unrelated (hopefully!) to my faulty light problem, in the past few days I think the tone of my exhaust has changed and it sounds deeper. Whilst I was fiddling around with the lights, I gave the exhaust a push and noticed that it was swinging from side to side. Is it supposed to do this?! If not, what might the problem be?

Hi, The auto window opening and closing using my key fob has stopped working. The convenience option is ticked in the setup menu, but nothing happens when the lock or unlock button is held down. Any ideas on how to get this working again? Thanks
