Had a quick search on the forum but can't find an exact answer.

Had an absolute nightmare with my Fabia recently, two weeks ago the passenger window regulator failed, and today the drivers side failed. I fitted a full new regulator and carrier on the passenger side, but managed to repair the drivers side today temporarily.

My first question is, has anyone used one of the regulator repair kits from eBay or Amazon and are they any good?

Second question is, I've damaged the plastic part of the lock, the part that the door lock pin clips into. I've seen this is quite common because of how difficult it is to get the carrier over it. Is it possible to buy just the plastic clip and fit it to the lock? Or what other options do I have, as at the minute I've had to put the drivers side back together with the pin not fitted.
