Celtic Tuning Remap

Featured Replies

Like a good ex-squaddie, I am going to have to take one on the chin here, it may not be my remap causing the running issues on my fabia, it could be an odd coincidence. :o

Not sure what / how it happened, but the pipe going from the intercooler to the inlet manifold does not have it's spring clip and was not loose but actually just "kissing" the manifold. The pipe is scuffed up so it's been off for a while I reckon, maybe even since I had the car and it's taken a few thousand miles to trash itself.

I am thinking that the ecu may have been thinking something along the lines of "WTF is going on" so to speak, going to take it back to the dealer and try and get some kind of heads up as to why it was not noticed when serviced etc etc.

I have left the battery disconnected overnight and am going to hook it all up and take it for a drive in a bit (duck tape is your friend).

One thing I will say though, and will stick by is that I may have been wrong in my diagnosis, but the communication from celtic has been well below par.

Ho-Hum, off to eat humble pie and wonder what damage sucking in unfiltered crappy air may have done

Good figures Shifty

Can i ask what engine mods you have done? apart from the remap!

Green cotton filter element, pd160 air intake, and a blueflame system. It was mapped before anything else was done, so in need of a tweak. Maybe a few more horses to come yet.

Well' date=' Fluff, I hope you get to the bottom of the problem, then you can have a dyno chart like this ---->

Bugger me sideways with a yard broom, all seems well now, obviously still get the dmf boogie if you boot it down, but duck taping the pipe up and resetting the ecu seems to have done the trick, just been out for an hour or so on the quiet roads down the A49 to whitchurch, bacon buttie and thrashed it back.

Much improved, etc etc etc, need to speak to dealer now as the ic pipe is trashed at the "mouth" so going to push for warranty as the metal retaining clip is awol.

Got a couple of days this week so may try to get over to awesome as they are spitting distance from my office and get a run to compare graphs etc.

So all seems well, but I am still a little peeved at the lack of comm's with celtic.

Shifty, still need a bit of info off you m8, just the date you where "flamed" as I am probably going to be over there next Monday.

cheers
