Hi from Waterford Ireland I've a new model Superb Active

Hi there and welcome from another Waterford owner ! There are certainly plenty of new Superbs around Waterford. Did you go for the 1.6 or 2.0?

I went for the 1.6 active. I have it since August so probably one of the 1st around. They've become very popular since the new year.

That certainly was one of the first then. Hope you're happy with it.

Very happy with the car but not with the dealer or Skoda. The car was missing at least 6 items that were standard spec on the brochure and skoda website. The main one missing is bluetooth. Dealer said it couldn't be retro fitted but offered to fit a parrot system instead. Skoda Customer service said my deal was with the dealer and refused to help.

Are you serious, no Bluetooth on a Superb III? Was that one of the demo models doing the rounds around launch time or did you order it? I wouldn't take that from them - Bluetooth should be standard and Skoda can't just take a back seat on that one. The car clearly wasn't sold as advertised and this should fall within basic consumer legislation. Overall that sounds fairly shocking if there were at least six items missing - what else was missing? Did you buy it in Waterford?

Not a demo I ordered it in May. In Clonmel. Arm rest in back seat with access to the boot. Drawer under passenger seat. Lights that stay on for 30 secs to allow you get in doors. I live rural area with no street lights. Auto dimming rear mirror. Tow bar not fitted at delivery. When it was the handle was broken. Electrical foldable mirrors.

Bluetooth is certainly standard on the Active spec.  Did you order the other items as extras?  The storage drawer and coming home/leaving lights would be standard on the Ambition spec alright but not on the Active (unless they were in the early models).  Not sure about electric folding mirrors standard on the Active either.  Sounds like a sloppy service in Clonmel though.  Was thinking about doing business there next time as I work nearby but might think again as you're not the first I've heard commenting on the service there.

When I booked the car I was told to check out the skoda website for spec as they didn't have a brochure all these were included. They taxed the car on the last day of July an extra months tax to me. The tow bar was fitted at the last min before I went on hols to France. The day I collected the car I was left waiting a hour with 2 kids. I had only got to waterford when the light came on for empty fuel. There was 49kms on the car at collection when the delivery service stated 12kms. I could go on and on.

I stated all this in the survey from Skoda but no follow up from them

Hmmm....that doesn't sound great. Hope Skoda take note and don't get complacent now that they are shifting so many cars. Enjoy the forum anyway.

Thanks. Don't get me wrong I love the car but the service from both the dealer has dampened my experience as it was also my 1st new car.
