Hi..ive just had my mk1 vrs remapped..do I need to upgrade my dv. if yes which one should I buy.....  I was told to get a bailey DV30

no you don't standard one will be fine... I have a forge 007p, but it has caused boost issues (now fixed) and needs servicing, I will be doing it every year.... sounds better though.

I bought a compbrake one off eBay, half the price of the forge one.

I've had Compbrake, Forge007p, & Turbosmart DV's on several stage 1 VAG 1.8T's over the years, but the OEM DV has always worked best. Revo tech support even advised me that the OEM DV was their preference for stage 1.
