Fun 1.6 speedo problem

Featured Replies

My speedo is not working.. I located the problem, the plastic square had snapped inside the pinion. Pinion seems fine and i was able to remove the broken part.

The problem is i cant find the propper replacement part.

Anyone know what this part is named or where i can find it?

Mine looks like the pinion from the left with the casing on the right. and in between them and the wire goes the black part with the 3 cabels. Seems to be some impulse genereator for something..

Isn't this one? Part number 002409191B as I mentioned on  the photo?

Take the old one off and take more photos to see all details of it.

Count also the number of teeth of the cogwheel.

So this is the order it was assembled. Counted 15 teeth, looks in good cond. I removed the middle part and the speedo is now working.

I think previus owner had a lcd speedo or something like that and that the part is not original..

So that's why the speedo gear didn't look familiar... Fun never had both a speedo cable and an impulse generator. But there's a good side to this topic. I know somebody who will be very happy to see that kit fitting nicely to an existing speedo drive. In fact this opens the oportunity for all Felicia owners to get rid of the Bowden speedo cable and fit an electronic speedometer

Could you tell me wny code number of the intermediate plastic part with 3 wires please? I can't see well on the photo.
