Couple of Bolero questions

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've had a new-to-me Octavia for a couple of weeks (loving it), and have a couple of questions/niggles about the Bolero entertainment system;

- The indicator of the battery level for my phone is not really working, the phone can be getting low and the indicator on the screen nearly always shows it as full.  Strangely, I'm sure it was working when I first got the car. I've tried getting it to forget the phone and reconnect, which seems to give a short-term fix, but it soon goes out of whack. Phone is an iPhone 6 with latest iOS.

- I'm sure when I first got the car hitting the "Car" button would, by default, take me to the driving data display (ie. mileage, consumption, range etc.). Now when I hit the Car button it always goes to the stupid "Convenience Consumers" screen which just tells me I have the air con on.

- If I asked a dealer when the car's in for a service would they update the Bolero software to the latest version?

Cheers!

I can't help with the battery level as mine just works on the iPhone. However, when you press car, you can keep pressing it more than once and it scrolls through the different screens. If you then go back to car it should default to the last screen you left it on.

As for the update, it seems that software updates are only applied when the customer reports a problem, but the dealer might update on request. The battery display issue may be enough.

I guess it's inherent a feature of iPhone to do weird thinks when linked with any 3rd party gear :)

I'm pretty sure my wife's iphone6 works fine...

If I press the car button it doesn't scroll through the different screens - I have to select the different screens using the button at the bottom of the screen.

Is there anything else I can try to get it to sort itself out as it seems a bit buggy. Any button combination that gets it to do a low-level reboot-sort-of-thing?

Thanks everyone for the input.

Pressing the power button for about 10 seconds will force a reboot. Somewhere in the setup menu there's an option to wipe all the settings and presets.
