it's not an adjustment problem, but purely hardware...

the cleaning operation could cause troubles in some equipment, illumination rheostat wheel or the mainboard. can you advice me ?

no solutions !!!!!!

Rather than just posting 'no solution' can you confirm the following.

Have you cleaned the dials to make sure it's not the automatic dimming?

When the headlights are on, does the rest of the lighting work normally with the dimmer switch? Pretty sure the dimmer has no effect when the headlights are off.

If yes to both, then it's probably a failure of the instrument cluster and you should find an electronics shop who do repairs or replace the entire cluster.

If it's not adjustment how come you're asking if it could be the rheostat?

I do believe you're playing with us, how could cleaning cause troubles?

PS: Of the pictures of your instruments above which is the night picture?

the second picture is for the night. about your question : How could cleaning cause troubles ? it's the case with my car, and I am not playing at all.

So does your Maxidot light up better when the headlights are on?

And my question "how does cleaning cause troubles", if you want us to take you seriously without dragging the information from someone who wants help please help us to help you and stop being so cryptic.

criptic !!!!

thanks a lot and forgive me,

the headlight status has no influence in the illumination, only the exterior lighting (day or night)

Just clean the two dial faces. I've marked them in red on this picture, the light sensor is typically somewhere in the area I've coloured blue.  Be warned the plastic tends to be quite soft so you need to be careful not to scratch them
