I've just contacted my insurer (Admiral) to get a quote for my brand new 1.4 L&K which is currently inbound. I expected a bit of an increase on what I pay for my current 110 TDI Elegance. Surprised that it's actually £6 cheaper @ £282 than my current car!

So many variables on Insurance. I paid £188 last September.

Mine is due in 9 days - Skoda Insurance - and has gone up. LV £120 cheaper and Skoda insurance said that their underwriters were not allowing them to meet comparative prices this year so it looks like I will be reluctantly changing.

My renewal Hastings 30th May £406 phoned them got down to £335 18 years no claims over 50 no points 

My renewal was £246, last year £217, with Churchill.

 

With two named drivers, my daughter 29 years old and my friend she is 64. they have been on the insurance since I bought the car on the 1st of Jan 2012. 

So the first premium in 2012 was £189.00  with legal cover and courtesy car of the same type inclusive. the legal cover and courtesy car are extra to the premium so you don't have to have them.

 

Remember if you put an older driver on cover as well it brings the premium down.

I know what you mean, being 55 and living in Cornwall with a clean licence and max no claims does help!
