Does anybody know if the Octy 2 Engine layout (2.0 TDI) shares the same layout with a VW brother or sister ?

 

I know the 2011 GTI 2.0 TSI looks very very similar, but is it more or less the same ?

Well the Octavia is based on the Golf MK5 platform. And the same engines are used across the two so a Golf MK5 with the same 2.0 TDI will have the same engine layout.
