Looking for a bit of help!. Had my 2012 VRS for a couple of weeks now and was looking to upgrade the stereo. The problem I have is my fascia, its a bit like carbon affect, its around the stereo, heaters, dsg stick and the trim on the glove box. Is this standered trim on the VRS's as I'll need a smaller one to replace the boltero. Any help great fully received, cheered Phil

Upgrade to what? I'd look at one of the OEM style fitment ones, like the Eonon or Pumpkin, or even stay entirely OEM and get a columbus.  With these options you won't need to change the facia trim.

If you change from a bolero to a Columbus a new fascia trim is required because the two head units are different widths. They are easy to get from a dealer but are pricey. Budget c£70 for a new replacement for the vRS from a dealer.

Was thinking of changing to the rns 510 dab plus sub in the boot! Is the carbon effect standered equipment?

Whoops my bad. Sorry for the misinformation, I thought bolero and columbus were same size.

I have a March 2012 vRS and the standard trim is shiny black carbon effect.  I much prefer it to the earlier silver.

Me too. Tempted to plasti dip the interior, but not sure how easy it would be to remove all of the plastic trim...

Gonna pop into the dealers tomorrow and see what happens. Think the carbon trim looks smart, just a shame the air vent surrounding isn't the same.

I bought my replacement trim, Bolero to Columbus, from Superskoda they have 20% off this weekend

Anyone got any pics please? I want to change the silver on mine to black, but can't decide on whether to go gloss or satin black, or carbon fibre. It'll just be vinyl wrap either way.

I have the same trim it's a factory option on late mk2 vrs.

I changed stereo from bolero to Columbus and you need the trim around stereo to match.

Go in the dealer explain what you are doing and they will order you one.

It's about 70 quid.

Thanks for all the help. Got one sorted, bought sat nav head unit with the surround in with the price! Only got it today so need to check it all works!

Option?  When I purchased my vRS I looked at 7 MKII FLs.  They all had the black carbon fibre look trim - none had silver.

However, I do wish my car had the black panels on the seats (like yours) rather than the silver panels on the seats in mine.  I never saw a vRS with the black panels - an option?
