I noticed a while back that at some stage prior to purchase, the wheel arch liner on the front offside has been removed and re-secured with a slightly larger screw and washer ....

 

Any idea's what might have been replaced ?

 

My Octavia 1.9tdi Elegance has 113,000 miles on the clock, and 2 previous owners since 2007, with the last owner keeping her for 5 years.

 

I'm guessing maybe Aircon compressor ?  Any other suggestions ?
