VCDS Codes accepted but not fucntioning.

Featured Replies

Hello there,

My VCDS 15.7.1 just arrived.
I have tried coding, my codes get accepted but they are not active!
What I mean:
I activate the "Auto-unlock by removing the key from ignition feature", my code gets accepted but when I remove the key guess what! Doors are still locked. If I visit again the byte/bit of the function, it looks active, so the ECU does not seem to lose the setting.
Also, I have tried with the ignition off, ignition on and engine on. Still same results.
Is there something I am missing?
Please keep in mind that the issue I am describing happens with ANY function I am trying to activate.

Thanks in advance,

Did you also enable auto-locking (09/byte 0/bit 4) and have you driven the car before you removed the ignition key?

As far as I can tell the doors will only unlock when the ignition key is removed if the car has been driven at 10kph or more and the doors have locked automatically.

Well you are right! I thought just by manually locking the door, after I remove the key from the ignition it would unlock.

Now what about the parking lights?

I have read on the VCDS Codes thread here that it works, but not in my case. When I enable it, I remove the key from the ignition I turn the turning indicator stick to on (left or right) get out and lock the car but the left or right lights are still turned off.

Any ideas on that? Thanks in advance..

You need sidelights on and indicator pointed in a direction for them to work

I saw some vag car could lift there windows from the key fob. Is this possible on the Citigo/Mii/up?
