Unable to tune post mid 2015 models upward.

Featured Replies

Hi all , put this on my hello thread but apparently any mid 2015 models onwards cannot be tuned becuase "VAG have gone to new Delphi ecu's as of mid 2015" anyone know much about this and if its true?

cheers

They've also gone to completely different beltdrive 16v petrols as opposed to the 8v chain drive ones.

Its a lot more than just an ecu change.

I think someone on here was talking to Revo about being the guinea pig for MY16 tuning a while back.

Sorry sean, just noticed you drive an oil burner.

TDI's were also changed for MY16 (since mid '15). The old CAYC engine (03L) had Siemens injectors coupled with the Simos PCR ECU. The newer CXMA (04L) has Bosch injectors so they might have switched to a different ECU.

In any case, the tunes for the old engine should be completely different for the new one.

Thanks Lads but is it possible to tune at all?? i'm assuming that if i can get it tuned i could get around 150bhp (just guessing) but twice now ive been told its not possible.

Has anyone tuned a mid 2015 onwards here?
