First Pics Of My Superb - Kw Variant 1 Coilovers And Sat Nav Fitted!!

Featured Replies

delroy - I would have loved the black leather interior but buying second hand meant that I didn't have much choice' date=' bummer. It's a PD TDI 130 and I have to say that I am very happy with it, I think it's pretty quick so I am sure that the 2.5 V6 must be a rocket?[/quote']

I don't rocket is quite the right word. It does go well but is let down by the slush-o-matic box. I'd rather have a manual 1.9 130, ever thought about a tuning box or remap?

Hmm, I thought they came in a manul box as well? No?

Well I have been looking into a remap at the moment but I am hearing rumours about clutches slipping?

Fabia 12v - I don't even know what the Elegence badges look like' date=' LOL, they are side markers mate, I will post up some close up pics if you want a closer look at the lamps?

Basically on Octys and fabias there were little oval badges that said spec of car... ur side markers looked like them... dont worry just me lol

Don't worry Richard, I thought the same when I first saw the pics :)

I think they may be available with a manual as well but I've only ever driven a 2.5 with the auto box.

Can't comment on the clutch slip - yet!

Do you not think that the A8's are a little boring?

I am thinking of these' date=' ASA AR1's:

What do you think?

Have to admit I never have liked the A8s :o

Those in the pic above look really nice ....but...........it'll take the best part of a day to clean them

The plan is to keep the Solid's for the Winter and Autumm and then use the ASA's for Spring / Summer?

While the Solid's are off the car I will get them refurbished as I think it's well worth the money on a good looking wheel.

I was thinking of using the ASA's for shows and meets as I want to keep them as clean as possible, LOL!!

Dude, your Superb looks very very hot indeed. Speaker rings are a nice touch...but man...I can't stop looking at it....it looks MEAN!!!!!! :D

Don't like the badge-like thingies over the bumpers though man...looks tacky...otherwise, a SUPERB looking car!

Lovely car - LUSH!

I'd want 17" or 18" at a push.

Those ARE 17s dude :)

Thanks mate, much appreciated.

The badge-like thingies are LED Side Markers.

Shall I post up some pics of these Side Markers illuminated?

Looking good Simon!

The Briskoda mob should have a look at your thread on uk-mkivs and check out all the closet Skoda fans lol! :D

I think that would be a good idea -- I've seen some on a Passat -- when they are not on they look odd -- but when lit - especially sunrise/sunset when it's a bit iffy they make a big difference to the visibility of the car IMHO

EDIT: Forgot to say loving those wheels your looking at

Could i please enlist the help of the Briskoda mob to convince Simon that these are the ONLY wheels he need consider for his Superb..... :D :D :D

 Dustbin lids. Not keen on them Im afraid. :thumbdwn:

I agree with Primey I'm afraid - not keen on those at all :(

On the plus side, they will be easy to clean. TBH, with that tyre profile, and the lowering, I bet that Passat is quite a harsh ride.

Don't like those at all. Not a fan on that whole 'Euro' look TBH.

If it were me, I'd leave the current ones where they are!

Beddie - Nice to see you on here mate, all you need now is a Skoda, LOL!! These guys should see how many closet fans there are on UK-MKIVs.net as there are loads. Thanks for posting up the Passat pic, you know that I like those wheels but I am not too sure my bank manager will, LOL!!

skodaw - I will take some pics in the evening with the sidemarkers on and post them up as soon as I can. The ASA's are a nice rim aren't they?

primey - The ride would be very harsh and to be honest mine is pretty harsh now so I am expecting a lot harder ride if I get bigger rims!!

Wardy - I wasn't a fan of the Euro look but going to Edition 38 this year changed my mind.

Thanks for your comments guys.

Is that a Passat at the end of your row of houses?Wondering if the owner has had a look at your car and commented?

Looks very smart BTW

Yep that's my neighbours B5 Passat, he hasn''t said much to be honest but I think he has told his Mrs he would like the Passat to look something like the Skoda, LOL!!

Thanks for the comment mate.
