Remove Centre Mirror

Featured Replies

Hello.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to remove the centre mirror from the Fabia (Monte Carlo right hand drive, if that makes a difference). Arnold Clark stuck some sticker on it and when I tried to take it off it tore and left bits behind. So was wondering if I could get it off to clean it. If not I'll just need too do it while attached. No biggy.

Thanks in advanced. :)

It's stuck to the windscreen with double sided tape usually i think.

Might be better to just do it whilst its on i think.

Is it a coloured circle by any chance? The ones they use to say if its been valeted or not?

Have they gone back to sticking them on? Mine looks as though it's the twist off version, which leaves the mount on the screen.

Ok, will just do it on it. No, was a white label sticker with some number or code written on with think pen. Was put on so you could take it off but of course it all tore apart. Will take a warm cloth to it. :)

ah maybe they've changed it then. I haven't had it off on my 2013, but assumed it was the same as others id had off.

I guess theres only one way to find out...

It looks like the same design as the one on my old '02 Polo, if you don't have the auto-dimming mirror and sensor cluster (mine's an SE, so no sensors!). IIRC that just twisted off when the man from Autoglass came to replace the windscreen!

This is a Mk.4 Golf- again, looks to be the same design.

Thanks, but couldn't get it too work. Will just have to take a warm cloth to it. :)
