Recently I read the Simpsons skoda ad for a brand new yeti SE dsg 1.2 at £99 per month for 2 years.(2k advance payment and 10K miles per year)

Now debating if to jump.

Simpsons gave me a price of £14.5K for my 64 plate elegance estate 2.0 TDI dsg with heated leather, tints and power boot with 8k miles. Does that sound a good offer price?

If it covers the outstanding settlement for my PCP and covers the Simpsons payment I'm seriously tempted. £99 per month seems a good deal. New car for £25 per week! Cheaper than a HD sky package!!!

Any thoughts and wise words?

I had email from simpsons saying £69 for yeti last week, not a fan well the missus isnt but cracking deal

You have a 2 year old car with 8,000 miles and you're debating whether to get a brand new lower spec and slower car?  Unless you are doing it for purely financial reasons I would keep the Octy.

Speed doesn't figure in this my octavia is no sports car. True the spec will drop but my octavia was never a 'keeper'.

Cheap hasslefree motoring is my brief. Tho the octavia is cheap it's not been hassle free.

£69 deal sounds good

I'm guessing the Yeti deal is for a personal lease?

If so, how do you feel about driving round in a slower and lower spec car for the next 2 years? If it's a lease there will be a penalty if you want to terminate early.

Have you done the maths to work out if it's actually going to save you any money? The Yeti deal is a good one, but the Octavia should be the better car, even at 2 years old. What hassles has the Octavia given you?

It is only £99 per month if the deposit is already covered in the PCP equity.

In reality it is actually £2,090 + £99 x 23 / 24 months = £182 per month.

How much have you paid on the Octavia, deposit plus all monthly payments to date?

Oh, and by the way the Simpsons PCH deals can almost always be beaten with a little shopping around.

Here is a petrol Monte Carlo Yeti with DSG, 8,000 miles...

https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing-companies/independent-brokers/swiftlease/skoda/yeti/99774793/

£971.91 deposit, £107.99 x 23, £238.80 broker fee = £3,694.48 / 24 = £153.93 per month.

That's £30 per month cheaper for a better spec.

On any VAG PCH it is almost always cheaper to go with the lowest mileage allowance (usually 5K) and pay the excess mileage charge at the end of the lease (7.2p / mile inc.VAT).

Thanks for the advice.

I'm certainly looking around with what deals have been mentioned. It might be that the yeti is for the other half to transport the kids about (or a newish toledo as think they cracking little family cars).

I will get a price from VAG as to ending my PCP, but, if it makes no financial sense it will stay a little longer.

On another note as my family has grown again does anyone want to buy a boxster. Its going to be underused now so it's better to be sold on and get its use and enjoyment. I will miss the flat 6 howl :'(

For what it's worth I would recommend going to see a Yeti in the flesh.

It was the impressive Yeti deals that persuaded us to sell our 8 year old MkII Octavia Scout and try PCH.

I loved the Yeti's ride height but the boot just wasn't quite big enough for what we needed. We were spoilt by the old Octavia.

Luckily at the time there were some cracking deals on the MkIII Scout. With a £2,500 lump and 23x £100 / month we now have this...
