I took your initial post as asking for someone to come round and do it for you, given that you posted your post code. I thought it strange that you'd done a scan, and then asked for help.

I have just compared my VCP scans - 2014 model - with yours. Have you coded anything in your gateway STG19 and radio STG56?

Connect VCDS to the car, turn ignition on, open VCDS.

 

Press the "Select" button to open the control module list, and select "19 CAN Gateway". Then go to "Installation List" and you have a list of check boxes. Place a tick in the box for 37 Navigation and 77 Telephone. Then select "Save Coding" and close that controller

 

Then open "37 Navigation", select "Coding", then "Long coding helper" and choose the options and configuration for your car. It's just a matter of selecting the correct tick boxes for your configuration. Read the warning in red at the bottom of that section and it tells you to reboot the Columbus after changing the coding. Then exit Long Coding Helper and click "Do It" to save the configuration. Close Navigation controller, and reboot by pressing and holding the left and right arrow buttons (top left) and the "microphone" button (top right) until the unit turns off and reboots.

 

Scan for fault codes and clear threm as necessary. If any faults remain in the Navigation or Radio controller, then you've got something wrong.

Did what you have said but stopped at the first part 37and 77 we're already ticked

Then go onto the second part, and see what you can sort. Strange that the two controllers were already ticked. Maybe someone had them fitted previously, and removed them when they sold the car but failed to decode them. Have you cleared the fault codes?

Take a look in the VCDS area of the forum, there's a list of VCDS members and also a map link.

Just been checking the Ross Tech wiki page for your fault code 01042 on the Navigation controller.

Okay, try this.

 

Go into the CAN Gateway list as I directed you above, and remove the check marks from the navigation controller 37 and telephone controller 77. Save the coding and exit.

 

Then run a full autoscan again and post up any fault codes you have.

Okay, now go back and reverse the procedure, retick the controllers 37 Navigation and 77 Telephone in the CAN gateway controller 19. Then save and exit.

Select Coding. Now change the Workshop Code, Importer and Device numbers to 12345 - 123 - 12345, and then go into long coding and change something. I would suggest you untick the box for CD changer on the first page and nothing else for the moment, then exit Long Coding Helper. Check the Workshop code, Importer, and Device numbers are still what you set them at, and press "Do It" to change the long coding to the new number you've just generated in the Long Coding Helper. It should save the new coding and tell you it's done it correctly.

On your scan log which you've just posted (if you go and look in the Navigation controller) you'll see you have saved the coding with Workshop Code, Importer, and Device numbers as 00000 - 000 - 00000 which could be generating the fault codes.

 

Once you've saved the coding with the correct numerical codes for Workshop, Importer, and Device numbers, scan again and post a log.

Then you'll need to do something similar with controller 77 Telephone, but looking at the faults it would appear there's some wiring issues there.

I think you're gonna need someone on site to help here. If you unticked the CD changer option, why is it still selected and showing a fault code? You've made some progress insofar as you now have the Navigation controller partly (but still incorrectly) coded, and from here on it should be a simple tweak or two for your cars specific options. But it needs someone at the car to input the parameters for your options correctly. It really is as simple as "Have I got a CD changer?" - "No" so untick the box where it says "CD Changer" and then move onto the rest of the options and select as required. Next one would be "Microphone Diagnostics" looking at your  faults.

However, your telephone module appears to have some wiring faults which will need investigation. Can't do that over an internet connection I'm afraid.

thank you yes i agree i do need some one on site to put things right how ever you are the only one who as responded to my distress call ? perhaps some one dare i say as knowledgeable as you is close by i'm willing to travel not to far but to get this sorted will pay the going rate what ever that is ,its taking over my mind you bye a car an upgrade from my octavia and all i wanted to do is use my Iphone and it opened the biggest can of worms you couldn't ever imagine regards oldtimer
