A 58 plate car won't work with an iPhone whatever you try as the Bluetooth module is rSAP only and the iPhone uses the HFP protocol. They started using different Bluetooth modules from MY11 onwards (mine was built October 2010 and is a MY11 car). When I was looking for my car I knew if I bought a 10 plate I'd have to factor in the £100 or so for a replacement module. In the end I settled on my 60 plate car.

The only way to get your iPhone working is to replace the Bluetooth module under the driver's seat with a newer one. As Rustynuts says your Bluetooth module looks to be faulty anyway so maybe not too bad having to buy a replacement anyway.

Are you saying then that the module I've fitted is faulty if so how can I check this out, I've been in touch with the company I bought it from and they a sure me it is brand new and I carn't dispute this as the date of manufacture is very clear on the module, they stopped making it in 02 2015 regardes oldtimer

Lifted from that thread the long coding for the telephone module was changed to 0200000001010110 which cleared the last of the fault codes, so perhaps try that. In any case, it would appear that it is a coding issue so perseverance would be an idea. Don't forget to make the Workshop Code, Importer and Device number change as above.

I don't have time to sleep. Well, not for very long anyway.

I'm not 100% sure, but it sounds like your car had a factory fitted bluetooth module that's been replaced for a 3C8-E and you've also fitted a Columbus.

 

If that's true, you probably don't have wiring for Columbus voice control or stereo bluetooth modules.
 
If you want to check, you need to look at connector C (possibly green) on the quadlock to the Columbus:
- Pins 1, 4, 7, 9 need to be used for Columbus voice control
- Pins 5 and 11 need to be used for stereo bluetooth
 
I would expect all six pins to be empty...
 
For the bluetooth module, I would suggest 020000000100010000000101 and fill in the Workshop Code, Importer and Device number as mentioned by Rustynuts. This should clear two of the errors. You'll still have "9457427 - Left audio channel for speech/telephone" as you're missing wiring for the left channel.
 
As for the Columbus, I'd try coding it to 04000400040400830000. This should disable microphone monitoring, disable voice control and set the EQ for a superb. Once you change this lcode the unit needs to be reset by holding the <, > and mic buttons on the Columbus.
 
Assuming both codes are accepted, I'd then clear all error codes afterwards and hopefully you'll just have the left audio one remaining.

right were to start i've checked at the back of the columbus the green connector as 2 wires coming out no 6 12 tel + tel- one is blue the other is white ,so i have coded the bluetooth module as you suggested and it took the code now for the columbus i took this to come under radio and

To clear them all you can use the 'Clear all DTCs' in the 'Autoscan' section then rescan. I would expect almost all should disappear apart from the left audio channel.

as promised the latest scan after clearing fault codes an taking car out ,I can now use iphone with voice command and people can hear me as i  can hear them,not sure if there is a microphone but the sound seems  to come from front right speaker, But its nice to use the iphone and keep the columbus I bet there is a lot more that can be done ? as promised the latest scan after clearing fault codes an taking car out ,I can now use iphone with voice command and people can hear me as i  can hear them,not sure if there is a microphone but the sound seems  to come from front right speaker, But its nice to use the iphone and keep the columbus I bet there is a lot more that can be done ? So can i say a very big thank you to rustynuts uber member  and some other members who finely solved a long running saga getting the iphone to work??? agine gold stars to all that help oldtimer

You'll be limited to only having audio on the right side of the car unless you add two more wires between the BT module and Columbus. This will also resolve the final error for you.

 

If you want more voice control commands (navigation, radio, volume etc) then you'll need to do a little more work. The microphone will need connecting directly to the Columbus and then a wire adding between the Columbus and BT module. Probably not as worth while as the only voice commands I use are to call people.

For stereo BT audio you'll need to add these two wires:

For Columbus voice control you'll need to splice into the microphone feed.
