Skoda extended warranty

Featured Replies

So two years ownership and the finance is up and so is the standard warranty.

So end of the month I pay up the balloon and plan to keep it till next year so really want extended warranty.

Skoda have offered a different one to which my brother took which included breakdown etc. They ha e offered either named policy or full policy, various excesses, and mileage options, for me it's working out £220 for the year

, so wondered if anyone else had done this option, it's through skoda and on their website? Is it a good policy?

Car will be replaced next year by either polo GTi or Audi S1 if I decide to treat myself

A very good policy and really the only one to buy for a Twincharger.  Skoda / VW can not say known issues as others do,

since they know them and Underwrite the Policy, or a VW Group Company do.

There are Exclusions on Modifications, Commercial Use like Courier, Driving Instructor, Motorsports etc.

& the servicing requirements, but when it comes to a vRS & the Engine / DSG, worth every penny. IMO

I purchased the Car Care Plan (two years with RAC breakdown) through a dealer when the manufacturer's warranty expired and I'm now onto the one you purchase online from Skoda (I took the £250 excess - it was about an extra £100 for nil excess and as I only bought the warranty to cover the gearbox or engine going pop £250 is nothing in the grand scheme of things).

I've read the wording and I'm more than satisfied - for the reasons outlined by George it's the Skoda warranty or nothIng when it comes to the vRS - I wouldn't waste my money on one sold by a third party provider.

  • 3 weeks later...

Mines is due to expire

They wanted £329 for 12 Months & £100 excess

Sounds reasonable to me.
