Engine turns over but doesnt start

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I have an on going issue with my 2.0 TDI (2005)

Over the past few weeks the Engine Management Light and Glow Plug Coil Light haven't lit when the ignition was turned on which led to a failure to start.  After Continuing to turn on and off they would light up and start first time.

I have changed all the relays, and I hear the fuel relay priming. Now not only does it not start with no EML or Glow Plug light but Both fans kick in straight away and the ABS warning symbol beeps three times and then continues to flash.

Please has anyone got any advice before I have to put it in the hands of a garage...

Also to add I have had the battery checked and its in good condition

Thank you

Any Fault codes?

Or if you do not have a reader / VCDS find a briskodian who is located near to you and may be able to help with VCDS.

Alternatively, if you have a roadside and home side assistance - call them and see if they can diagnose to help get going?
