VRS boot wont open!

Featured Replies

Hi guys, been having an issue with my boot not opening so i keep having to climb through the boot to manually open it.

When i push the release button on the key or try the button on the boot it pops open slightly and then feels like its catching on the latch or something, if i am then to leave it for a while it goes back to working correctly.

This has been intermittently happening for a while now and is doing my head in!

Any help appreciated.[emoji1]

I have had the same problem. There is a round plastic sprung part that lifts the bootlid when the release is activated. The intention is that the movement takes the lid clear of the locking mechanism but mine doesn't always so I had to re-lock it and try again. First check the round pusher  is aligned to push to maximum effect - on mine the bracket had bent a bit - then consider some sort of agent on the boot rubber to stop it sticking. Vaselene may work but there is a proprietary goo for this that seems a bit overpriced - can't recall the name.
