Hi. I get a slight pop or clunk.. well more of a low pop sound when once gear changed and it starts to engage. Just before it engages it makes a like pop sound. Sometimes its really smooth with no sound but most times not.

When i lift bonnet and push down on the engine or wobble it with force i can swear its dame noise. Inside the car ot sounds like its comming from under gearstick or the passenger footwell side. Really hard to explain. I feel like there is a gap between the gear change insted of it being flush or smooth.

Please help.

Sounds like a dodgy engine mount to me. It's usually the lower gearbox on that goes as it takes most stress.

 

See if you can look underneath (may need to remove under tray) and have someone rock the engine to check for play in the mount. They are very to change over.

Spoke to skoda but they saying that if its gear mount then itll happen all the time as mine is ok in the morning but as soon as i start getting happy it starts. also when this does happen its  like it drops revs (feel pullback) before it picks up the next gear during clutch lift. but in the morning the gear change is proper smooth.   so as its not happening all da time cant be mounts...... what about the oil? gear oil?..

For the cost of a garage to check all the mounts out I'd follow that route. Had same issue on my last car. Found 2 broken mounts

But some times its fine. Gear box is proper smooth. Hang on.. you know when you life the clutch and you feel the next gear pick up. (Gear engage) sometimes its proper smooth but when it makes the pop sound (sound like you rub a squicky clean window with ur finger and it makes that sound) i feel a pull back (like braking) before next gear is engaging. Real hard to explain sorry. Gana take it in to garage for mount checks and gear oil check. Il post results after that.

Also put comp on got lamda sendor heater or summet. Anyone know awt bout that?
