What's the difference between the 2016 and 2017 specs? You might see from an earlier post of mine elsewhere that I don't trust the configurator to give accurate information eg it says the SE comes with 16" wheels as standard which others have said is incorrect.

SE comes with 15" alloys standard, only the SE-L comes with 16" alloys as standard.

I'm not sure there were any changes to the base spec.

I think it was just additional options such as rear view camera and adaptive cruise control that were introduced.
