V band clamp

Featured Replies

Hi All

Seems I have a slightly leaky V band clamp (between the turbo & DPF) on my 2009 Cr Vrs. Have tightened it up but its still getting a little sooted up.Could anyone point me in the right direction as to where I can get one with a gasket, other than the dealers.

                  Many Thanks

It may be worth checking at the dealers. I struggled to find the right size for my Renault anywhere. eBay had some very nice looking ones for £30 ish but i gave up in the end and went to Renault and was pleasantly surprised by the £1.58 bill. It's a single use type though that Renault use.

They're cheap as chips in genuine form, less than £20 if my memory serves me correctly.

You could try TPS?

A smear of instant gasket silicone RTV on assembly will prevent leaks.

You could of course apply to a clean clamp in situ if you don't mind it looking... silicone'd.

Thanks All

Found one on Darkside Developments website £17.50. Are they difficult to remove.

Took my Skoda dealer around 4 attempts to fit properly as kept leaking due to fixing bolt coming loose.
