VRS DSG Gearstick "trigger"

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I've picked up my VRS DSG today.

It's got to go back Saturday as they've put the wrong plates on it (Requested GB and they haven't been fitted)

However on the drive home I found that trigger button is loose/flappy.

I.e you can lift it up and away from the gearstick, the button cover doesn't seem attached to the mechanism below at is base and is free to move as it likes.

Is this normal?

You can pull the button outwards towards the front of the car, that's normal but it shouldn't "flap" about.

Mine certainly isn't like that, in fact I can't move the trigger in the manner James says either, it's just a spring loaded trigger that you push as you move the lever and it springs back out into position, very little 'play' in mine.

You appear to have a problem with it.

Just to update, took it in this morning.

They're having to order me a new gearstick on warranty.

They said they'd never seen anything like it before.
