just wondering what it would sound like if i just grind the cat out and weld a bit of pipe in, mainly looking for the owl noise! just wanted to know has anyone done it and what does it sound like?

Bit noisier but also possible over spool and damage to the turbo.

Slightly noisier, a different tone when idling and the exhaust fumes now smelling like they belong to an old diesel generator at a fair ground. Those are my experiences from decatting the exhaust.

As said above really. Mines a bit noisier and properly stinks especially in an enclosed environment. I don't think it's worth it tbh.

Nor do I. If I could of kept the standard downpipe, somehow had it fabricated to fit the gtb and be assured there would be no 'bottleneck' limitations happening, I would of done.

I'm quite surprised at how strong the exhaust fumes can be.
