Insurance Renewal

Featured Replies

Just a quick question here. My insurance is up for renewal very soon, and they have sent me a new renewal price. Can I bargain with the insurance company to reduce this price? Or do I just have to pay it?

I have looked around and they are still the cheapest, but still a bit too expensive!

Cheers people

I think the only way you can have a chance of negotaiting is if you have other quotes which are cheaper.

Have you tried Chris Knott or Greenlight?

When they send you a renewal it is always higher .............go to their website and get a quote off the site ....if it thinks you are a new customer it could well be less ....did it with direct line and saved

Or just ring up & lie that another company offered you a slightly lower quote (make up a realistic figure) but that you'd like to stay with them because you've had no hassle from them.

Works every time ;)

The same thing happened to me last year, Norwich Union were the cheapest but also my existing insurer, when I demanded to know why my online quote was
