MOT reminder

Featured Replies

I've just realised my car will be three years old on the 24th - I presume it will need MOT'ing, but I haven't had a reminder.

I've had it from new, but it was owned by my previous employer. I bought it off them last september, and I've just checked the V5 - it's all in my name. Should the DVLA have sent me a reminder by now ?

I don't think that MOT reminders are now sent.  I certainly didn't receive one for my car which was due an MOT in March; nor for my wife's car also due in March.

Up to the owner to remember.  Put a reminder in your diary, phone, tablet, etc.

You don't get reminders, you have to check.

A fair few MOT places have a free reminder service that sends you a text or an email when you're getting near. I know ATS do.

As above, you dont get MOT reminders.

Only reminders I get are direct from my local stealers where it's MOT'd

My neighbours Fiesta is 3 yrs old this month, his road tax renewal letter included a "this vehicle requires an MOT" note in the info section, so in essence a reminder....?

Do DVLA still do that for cars on direct debit. Simple enough to remember that MOT is due in certain month and look on here--

to confirm date.
