Hi, can anyone help me with the removal of the clip holding the single wire running to the starter solenoid?  I can't seem to upload a photo at the moment but the connector is a round black plastic affair with some sort of red slider on the top.

Do I just slide the slider away from the starter motor (towards the wire) and then pull it off?  It currently won't budge.

Pull the red tab back (looks like it is already) and then with your thumb pull back on the tab. Sometimes a push in first will help.

Hi I see this is relatively new post. I'm having a starting issue with my fabia 1.4 8v, it bump starts not tried jump leads yet but when I try to start it by the key it gets a click then all the dash lights go out and come on again after I let key go. I'm giving the battery a trickle charge at the moment whilst at work. Also when I have bump started it there's no red battery light illuminating so I guess alternator is charging the battery.
