A simple question to which I suspect the answer is yes. Will 17" Evolo alloys from a MKIV Golf go straight on to an Octavia 4x4?

Perhaps more complicated is what effect 17" 225/45/17's will have on the handling never mind rolling radius speedo issues (which I don't understand properly).

More to the point will the wheel change munch the Haldex?

Wheels will fit and tyre size is correct.

Thanks for the quick reply, I guess I already know the effect on the ride/handling balance- more grip and less sidewall to flex. Trade off worse ride, still the alloys are just sat around in the garage. Maybe I'll finally get an Octavia 4x4 to put them on.:P

At the moment my choices are S3, TT or the 4x4 Skoda. I want the Skoda, my shallow and image conscious girlfriend want either Audi. What she doesn't realise is that it's hip to be square- like an Octavia estate!
