New turbo needed

Featured Replies

Hey

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent turbo specialist as I'm in need of replacing mine the limp mode is happening very frequently now. It's 2L PD BKD engine and it's done 140K so I'm surprised it has lasted this long.

Your help is appreciated as always!

Id get a replacement turbo from euro car parts. Think there bout £400ish but it includes a £70 rebait on the old turbo. You'll get that back when you take the old one back.

I've had 2 reconned turbos from them o both cars. Both have bkd engines.

I had the same issue with mine 3 years ago, I bought a turbo from Turbo Technics and had a local VAG specialist fit it for me, I believe it worked out about £700 all in including a service

buy a new OEM turbo...refurbished turbines are Russian Roulette...you never know what they have done with turbo, what they have modified.
