Caribbean air conditioning rattles and movement

Featured Replies

Anybody else find between 65-80 mph with all windows open the passenger seat belt rattles against the door pilaf ?

Rear parcel shelf lifts at a ton, on private roads obviously.

I find that when I drive fast with all windows open nothing rattles at all, though stuff starts to fly out above 100mph and the boot cover flap stays in the 'up' position, obscuring the lower part of the rear window.

I don't know if that is what you are alluding to with that second, very cryptic, sentence. I also don't know what a pilaf is other than an Eastern European dish.

Sorry typo pilaf should read pilar

Or possibly "pillar"

I don't think it should come as a surprise that when driving at 80mph with the window fully down that the seatbelt is blown into the B pillar  :D

Seriously though I'm pretty sure at motorway speeds Skoda would advise using the ventilation controls rather than winding down the window all the way.

Try Heko, they have some products that might help...

If you turn on the 'eco tips' in the 'car' menu you will occasionally get those on your maxidot display. One of them will advise you to close the windows when accelerating above a certain speed.

Advising TMWNA to turn on Eco tips!

I like your sense of humour.

Actually I never saw that one before I turned it off
