1.6 CR DMF?

Featured Replies

Understand that all Octavia 1.9 PD (bar 4WD) are DMF from new but respond well to SMF conversion - as has been my experience.

Bit confused about 1.6 CR

a)None had DMF?

b)All had DMF?

c)Depends on age?

supplementary

If c) true what are the change over dates?

If b ) or c) are true, can they be converted to SMF? does it work as well as the 1.9 conversion? best make? Is it now Skoda approved?

A plea to anyone who wants to promote the virtues of DMFs or question why anyone would possibly want an SMF in place of a lovely DMF:

Please do not respond to this thread.

Thanks

All had DMF. Pretty sure all 4x4 also had a DMF.

Sorry did not quite type what was in my head - Yes I am aware that the 4x4 does have DMF, what I meant to say was that I recall something about SMF conversion not working with 4x4. Situation re. 4x4 makes no difference to me though.

Thanks
