Changing foglights!

Featured Replies

Hi i was needing help! Im trying to change my foglight bulbs on my mk2 octavia vrs but im having no luck. I can get my hand through if i remove the plastic bumper trim but its not easy working blind. Is there any way of removing the whole unit? I can see 1 screw at the top but there doesnt seem to be anymore.

I assume you went in like this?

If so it is sometimes better to access it from the front wheelarch.

Turn the steering onto full lock and remove the inner wheelarch trim bolts. This often gets a much better view of the back of the fog light housing.

Here is a picture of the back of the fog light from inside the bumper, the tube above is the washer jets for the headlight wash (where fitted)...

This car has xenon headlights (hence the headlight washers) o the washer bottle is larger (increased capacity), on halogen headlights the bottle is smaller which should allow the 'wheelarch' access to still be effective, at least on the drivers side.
