Trouble is when you're car becomes distinguishable by other means, like a fook off big 3 foot BRISKODA.net sticker. :o Wouldn't work for me, for long. :D

Whoooa horsey ;)

I know of a person, who had a solenoid based flip up plate on his bike, that was purely for track use only.

He got caught coming back from Oulton Park after a summer evening track day, and was pulled for a "spot check", the officer measured the size of the rear numberplate, he measured the size of the lettering, he then spotted this spring loaded solenoid actuated device and enquired as to it's function.

Lets just say the chap was charged with perverting the course of justice and had it not been for an excellent brief would have many books thrown at him.

I know this chap "well" enough to know he does not play around with this sort of thing anymore......

dodgy ground folks, and plodster would take a dim view of it.

Fluff'

Hehe I designed one of these for a GCSE project before the teacher "suggested" I pick another project. Does it come with an interface to Snooper/Road Angel? :D

Nice find Stuart. I can see that being handy mid year. :D

Surely one that rotates around to a phony numberplate is better... just make up a convincing-looking registration (try it to make sure some other poor sod isn't going to get your fines) and use that?

Except, naturally, DON'T as that would be ILLEGAL AND WRONG.

How about LCD screens front and rear? Not only could you display any reg you felt like, you could maybe set it up to do a sort of scrolling/marquee thing for your fellow road users to see as you drive past! :D

Speaking hypothetically, of course! ;)
