Monte carlo DRL LED bulbs

Featured Replies

Hi

Received my 6000k cree led bulbs for my DRL I have installed them and after starting the car up they work perfect, although they look very very bright I don't know if it's because the oem ones are dull yellow bulbs but they just seem so broght. I haven't driven the car yet with them in but just looking at them on in the drive they look very bright

I have seen some led drl that are very bright so i think they should be ok

Can't really be bothered with the hassle of getting pulled over all the time because of them if they are too bright

Cheers

You aren't likely to get pulled over for them, i ran 80w CREE bulbs and never had an issue. The DRL units on the vRS are very bright from the factory. I wouldn't worry. You're more likely to get more stick on here for having bright DRLs to be honest, I'm sure someone will be along shortly.

^^^ Really confused now.  Is this thread about DRL's and bulbs?   I thought the OP said he has very bright DRL's now.

^^^^equally confused now, the OP asked about bright CREE bulbs in his DRL housing and I responded regarding the CREE bulbs in my DRL. What's the confusion?

Ah i see what you mean.  More likely to dazzle members on the forum than other drivers on the road.

Haha, it does seem that DRL units are getting brighter and brighter from the factory. I saw a quashqui today and the units didn't dim when it signalled and I couldn't really see the indicator bulb until I was right in front of it

One of my custom-fitted LED DRL's has suddenly gone very very dim following a dealer service/MOT (typical! the other works fine) so I need a replacement bulb. Can anyone tell me the brightest/bluey-white DRL's that will easily fit my 2012 Fabia Elegance please? And how easy is it to replace the dull factory interior light(s) with bright LED's?

Sorry for jumping on this post but what bulbs do I need to replace the current DRLs?

Thanks in advance.

Is it on a Mk2 Fabia vRS?

Here is how you replace the DRL / Sidelight units, Do you have a faulty one?

Yes it is mate. Thanks for the link I'll check it out. The search box isn't too great on this forum as we know.

No, none of them are out, I've fitted 5k HID (please, no one mention MOT failure, it passed with the 6k HIDs with no issue). Just want the DRLs as close to the 5k colour as I can.

I dont think you can change the bulbs on the VRS DRLS as they are sealed LED units.

However, you can fit standard fog lights with aftermarket bulbs.

& Sidelights are required.

For anyone interested,

these are the Blue Dummies as are fitted in the vRS Headlights.
