Featured Replies

As per title the window regulator on the passenger side has failed for the second time!!

The regulator has only been in place for few months ....

Has anyone experienced this? Where am I going wrong can anyone please help

The door took rivets I replaced these DIY with bolts and adapters , but I'm now on the verge of buying a new regulator, the previous two are eBay jobbies

Thanks

Anyone got any ideas why it's repeatedly failed ? Is it worth replacing the electric window motor?

Could this be the culprit.... or is it the ones I'm buying are inferior quality ??

Maybe the cause is that the inserts in the window frame are not lubricated enough and causing great drag on the glass, thus putting too much load on the mechanism.

Always carefully spray the U channels with a silicone spray, use a cardboard shield so as not to spray on the paintwork.

Sweet mate il get some silicone spray does anyone have a picture of where to spray the door channels please

The door channels - They are the U shaped guides that the glass slides up and down in, each side of the window aperture.
