Now then, I have the opportunity of getting a low mileage L&K 1.4 TSI 150 registered in November 2015 and just wonder what engine type this has. Is it an updated version of the timing chain version or does it have a timing belt? Have tried googling but can't find a definitive answer. TIA  

I have one now, its a belt.    love it nice power delivery quiet, at 3500 miles it's returning just on 40mpg.

    Thanks mate, hope to get a test drive this week. This one has done around the same mileage as yours so all sounds good! :thumbup: 

    I'm glad it's cam belt, my 1.2 is a fairly early one and concerns me a little.

    The specific engine code is CDGA. This is in the EA 211 family of engine design.  If you google the code you will see a lot of detailed info.
