Car stalking

Featured Replies

So let's just assume my car's at 'released to port' status and I wanted to stalk it's likely delivery boat - hypothetically obviously. No one is that sad...

Which boats do skoda use to get their cars over here? I read ishar highway and main highway somewhere on the web.

Thanks in advance - hypothetically

you should be able to learn the name of the vessel from your dealer. I'm only guessing as we can do it here in turkey.

If you go to the website www.marinetraffic.com you will be able to watch the Port of Emden.

The ships are colour coded and you are looking for "Green", if you click on them you will get a pop up window telling you the details about the ship.  The bridge crew update what is called AIS which broadcasts speed, course, destination and ETA.

Currently if I look I can see the Weser Highway berthed in Emden broadcasting an ETA in Immingham 12-07-2016 @ 11:30.

You will need to keep an eye on the port as the ships do not always display the correct AIS until departure it all depends on when the crew update the system, but what I did was to zoom out a bit and check various green ships.

This link http://nports.de/fileadmin/schiffsankuenfte/index.php?terminal=Emden details the Port Movements at Emden and is updated regularly.

Thanks for the tips all. Ironically the dealer has just phoned to say my car is on our shores awaiting a transporter. That was a quick delivery!

If it comes out of Sheerness tonight it will probably spend overnight at Medway Services on the M2 along with all of the other truckers.
