got 2 rear reverse sensors not working, no audible clicking, and vcds also points me to 2 not functioning

I removed one to look at part number it is 4B0919275C

 

 

iive found some on ebay which are identical apart from the last letter on part number 4B0919275E

will they be ok?

According to the ad to which you linked it is compatible with 4B0919275E, 7H0919275CGRU, 7H0919275, 7H0919275C & 7H0919275GRU .

I saw that but was wondering whether the E prefix was just a later revision, as they look identical to the one I have in my hand from my motor with the C prefix

The suffix denotes part revision, starting with A and increasing.

Operationally the same however the internals have been improved.

Yes it will be OK.

There may be an F, G, H etc. revision...

Use the later part number in searches to increase potential for best price.
