Are these fuel lines connected up correctly?

Featured Replies

Question is in the title.

See attachment for photo (engine cover and boost hose removed)

If anyone can say whether this is wright or wrong it would be much appreciated

Incorrect Jubilee clip (not fitted by me) has now been replaced with proper fuel pipe clamp.

Now fairly sure pipes (as per photo) are currently connected up correctly but believe supply and return pipes from tank had previously been reversed. This would tie in with way car ran OKish when cold but rubbish when warm. As far as I can make out once the temperature in the filter rises the thermal valve built into the top of the filter housing should cause the return line from the injectors to be connected directly to the return line to the tank (no longer being returned into the filter reservoir as the fuel in the filter is now warm enough and should not be heated further) ... but when the pipes from tank are reversed, once the valve heats up the supply from the tank will be connected directly to the return from the injectors - not much use. Car now running better but not quite 100% in terms of smoothness or economy.

Could this incorrect connection have caused damage to the thermal valve in the filter cannister lid?

What if anything could have been damaged by these wrongly connected pipes? (no I didn't do it)

Thanks
