Having recommended friends to look at Skodas for a fair few years, I'm finally getting one.

 

I've been a serial Honda owner for more years than I can remember, but a long commute in one of the most hardcore of Hondas is taking its toll, so I've a vRS 230 coming in September on (yes, you've guessed it) a lease deal...so I'm now putting my money where my mouth has been.

 

I know I'm going to miss the FD2 a lot, but I'm quite excited about the new car...first brand-new car for me, and first with all the modern toys - have been a luddite about car-tech for a long time, preferring the 'simple = reliable, simple = light' philosophy.  So watch this space...

Are you sure it is coming in September? Long delays currently on 230 orders.

Andy - I hope not - it's already gone from 12-13 weeks to 20+ weeks!!!  May have to call them again just to make a nuisance of myself...

 

maccap - pretty light spec as it's a lease:-

 - Corrida red (unless I can find a factory contact and ask very nicely for Rallye Green!)

 - Space-saver

 - Reversing camera

 - Cornering fog lights

 - Heated washer nozzles

 - Service pack

 

I really liked the sunroof in the car I drove, and I like the ACC on the wife's Golf R, but both are >£750, so not worth the cost on a lease deal.
