Rush of blood!

Featured Replies

I bought a car from stock, as like you didn't want to wait, in Petrol Blue and think it looks great.

Contrary to what someone posted on another thread, it's not dull and boring (I think he's getting mixed up with Pacific Blue) and like all metallics really comes alive with the sun on it.

I think it really suits the Yeti.

Also considering a Petrol Blue L&K 4x4.Toss up between this and a SEL diesel 4x4. Worry is will it perform as well as the diesel we presently have. We have a good mix of long and short journeys so no real dpf problems but I am getting concerned at potential future legislation etc against diesels plus the additional complexity of these engines. Cannot obtain a 1.4 to test drive either! Someone help me sort this dilemma lease!

We swapped a 140bhp diesel for our current 1.4tsi L&K.

Once you have realised you have to rev the petrol a bit more than a diesel it shifts quite nicely.

Economy is nowhere near though. My journeys are mostly school run times and the ptrol is doing about 10mpg less. Lots more refined though.

Your avatar says you have a tow bar fitted, what do you pull and does the car pull it well? I just wonder if it has enough oomph to pull a caravan, especially as my current Yeti pulls my 1300kg caravan very well.

Collecting a new Sprite Freedom 6 on 2nd August so will be able to tell you after that.

Not really looking forward to the mpg figures when towing but just sold a large motorhome that was only doing low to mid 20s so won't be too painful.

Thanks, would appreciate the heads up as I'm wondering if the days of diesel are numbered and if I should jump ship back to petrol after owning only diesel cars since 1992.

And heading off to Cornwall on the 5th so it will get a good test.
