Would anyone have a picture of the ecu location, I'm told it between wiper blades but maybe i;m a tad blind but i cant see it for the life of me.

I test drove the dsg version of my own the 1.9tdi dsg, must admit its sweet, but seems very very hard to get the elegance version in ireland. Been to two dealers with huge price difference, but both want to steer me away from the elegance model seemingly no-one has ordered one yet hence they are only stocking the Ambiente.

For the Irish Buyers I would stay a million miles away from Phoenix Motors and give TMC in Navan a shout.

From my experience I'd be the opposite, price may be better but in the long run aftersales service is worse (and I hope they read that !) eg search for DTC 17705

Talk about a receipe for disaster... TMC ? I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.... and I'm in the trade! Good luck to you getting aftersales service with them.

Why don't you go back to Phoneix to see if they might match the price TMC gave you? Would Phoneix be any handier for you, are they any closer .

techi, do I understand that you have successfully remapped an Octavia II ECU? I believe that when that car first came out at least one major tuner had problems with remapped ECUs locking up a day or 2 after the cars had been remapped, although that problem has now been solved.

Yep you understand 100% correctly, I have had it remapped it a little over two weeks now with no problems, the difference is just amazing.
