I never said the dealer had ODIS. VAS 5051 is the tool made available to franchised dealers and can carry out all functions that are supported by the cars.

 

ODIS is the tool made available to independent mechanics through erWin and AIUI has most (if not all) of the capabilities of VAS 5051.

 

VCDS supports whatever functions Ross Tech were able to reverse engineer plus whatever VAG felt like telling them about.
